Before we start, let's lay out a simple posting guideline- because scheduling your social media posts is a sure fire way to gain followers on instagram. It seems intense, but don’t worry; it’s manageable.
STORIES: DAILY
FEED (GRID): 3-5 times a week
REELS: 4-7 times a week
IGTV/Live: 1 a week.
This is just a guide, but for sure instagram wants you to focus on stories and reels.
Now that the daunting (it’s fine) schedule has been laid out...
LET’S TALK ABOUT STORIES.
Try this; set a timer to a time that seems reasonable and realistic to you and when the timer goes off (say hourly) post whatever you are doing at that moment. However trivial. Consistency over quality with stories.
Another super useful feature of stories is that you can see who has seen them and even better; you can see who has seen them first. The people looking at your stories first are the people with whom your content resonates the hardest so go chat with them, see what they are up to.
Try this; Go onto a recent post, click on someone who’s liked it and reply to one of their stories, connect with them. Now instagram can see you two are vibing and your content will be delivered to them as a priority. Mingle to win.
Make accessible content that your followers can engage with to boost your reactions, and your followers. Making story games is a good way of making this happen- a game of this or that, a game of would you rather, a game of truth or dare. Or just ask them a question. Offer something to do, call them to action and watch their numbers grow.
Sometimes it’s good to give your stories a shorter life span. Let them expire, reset the algorithm and then the next day post something interactive. You will be pushed straight up people’s feeds and your impressions will skyrocket. Don’t ask me why.

Click on a previous post, maybe one you posted last week or a few days ago, and even if you’ve replied to comments already, go through and like all of the comments as well. This brings you right back from the brink of lost attention and engagement and is a little wave to those who appreciate your fire content.
Next -find someone who is in your niche and engage with their followers! They already like similar content that you are putting out, you just aren’t in their eyeline yet, put yourself in it.
UTILISE YOUR INSIGHTS. Go and see what photos have had the highest engagement, and then go and engage with those followers.
