Reels are the fastest way to get new followers and improve your engagement so listen up.
1. DITCH THE WATERMARK.
If you are moving your video from Tik Tok to Instagram, BEWARE! Instagram knows what you're doing, it sees you. So before the transfer make sure you get rid of that little Tik Tok logo. There are plenty of apps that will help you do this and it will improve your chances of riding the algorithm to the top of people’s feeds and getting more likes.
2. Political Content could be a problem for you.
Obviously this does not apply if you are running a political account, but posting political content means a lot more red tape when it comes to people watching, liking and sharing your reel. To grow your followers veer away from the topics that might divide them!
3. LOW-RES IS A NO-GO
Instagram has explicitly said that they will deprioritise low res videos. So to make that insta grow; shoot high quality videos, without borders and general on screen mess. Your reels shouldn’t look like they've been filmed on a potato.
4. ENTERTAIN, INSPIRE or TEACH
The most important and quickest way to get instagram followers is to make content that does one of these three things. Instagram stated this outright. So go and dazzle, grab their attention, keep it and then get them to rewatch it. I know It’s hard to get up every morning and think about posting a reel, sometimes you’re just not feeling it. However I do urge you to post as regularly as possible. Gaining followers on instagram is the tortoises game, you’ve got to have the stamina. Be. Consistent.
7. Study the competition.
So now you are posting glorious, high definition reels regularly, get out there and see what everyone else has been up to in order to stay ahead of the curve. Grow your instagram organically by analysing the trends- see how other people are editing, what sounds they are using, what kind of content is hitting the mark. If you're gonna make it, you need to consume it too.
8. OPTIMISE YOUR REELS
